Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP)
Goal
To increase access to high-quality, culturally responsive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education for Black and African American students, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to thrive in the 21st century global economy.
Vision
We envision a future where Black students are fully represented in STEAM fields—as innovators, creators, entrepreneurs, and leaders. Through a dynamic and inclusive educational approach, students will gain the real-world skills and experiences they need to shape their futures, uplift their communities, and transform the world.
Mission
Our mission is to empower Black and African American youth by integrating STEAM learning into the classroom in ways that are relevant, rigorous, and rooted in cultural pride. We strive to close opportunity gaps by providing access to:
-
Hands-on, project-based learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math
-
Mentorship and exposure to diverse role models and careers in STEAM
-
Real-world applications that connect academic learning to financial literacy, innovation, and community impact
We are committed to supporting educators, engaging families, and fostering a school culture where every student sees themselves as capable, valuable, and essential to the future.
