Non-Discrimination Statement

The Los Angeles Unified School District is committed to providing a working and learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying.

Assembly Bill 500 was recently approved by the Governor and adds language to Education Code Section 44050.

Assembly Bill 500 was recently approved by the Governor and adds language to Education Code Section 44050, which requires districts to do the following:

  1. Commencing July 1, 2018, provide a written copy of the section on employee interactions with pupils in its employee code of conduct to parents/guardians of each enrolled pupil at the beginning of each school year; and
  2. By January 1, 2018, post the code via a link on school websites.
