that you think of that describes how you are and how you want to be that's what your word is or this week innovative a product and idea Etc featuring new methods Advanced and original goals being Innovative boys and girls that means you're coming up with your own ideas that means you're being an original thinker we have quite a few people on our slide today one of them is a Garrett Morgan Garrett Morgan is the inventor of the gas mask also the inventor of the light or the traffic signal that every time you see a traffic signal boys and girls think of Garrett Morgan he was an Innovative man he had an original idea to help make the world a better place Innovation what is it how do you do it it is a shin is all about coming up with new ideas improving old ones we can think about Innovation as a process to create these ideas and test them for scientists to design is autistic and Jenny has anyone can eat invite to self problem this place that starts off with the name or challenge what is the problem that you might like to self have a think about all the different ways to solve this problem what already exists what materials can you use think about some inspiration from the world around you or even Austin to help you come up with some ideas then make a prototype a prototype is like a dropped it doesn't have to be perfect or work properly or even use the same materials as the final product often you'll make lots and lots of are the flights before your final design in order to figure out whether it does what you wanted to do you need to test it this is often the part where you learn the most about your idea is your prototype doing what you want to do can you improve it would you like to make off the texting you first sight figure out what you want to change and refine it but it failed completely grape use this failure as feedback to help him prove it you can change something big or small or even go back to the drawing board and start from the beginning Innovation is nothing new everyone has done it at some point in their lives with it it's making a new invention coming up with a new dance routine or even writing a story, look around you problems or challenges that you'd like to self next time you have a problem how'd it go using this process thinking making trying and refining you never know what you come up with all right boys and girls remember being Innovative is a great thing so whenever you come up with a new idea or a new thought or whether you can improve something that may already be in existence that means that you are exercising thoughts in your head and you are being Innovative have a great week innovation oh wow sober today is October 23rd and today is a very special day for a couple of reasons one is it's Red Ribbon Week so boys and girls you all will be receiving something in your class trim today if you have not already done so and also it's the beginning of our book fair boys and girls is very important that you read so we're so excited to have a book fair here today make sure you bring your money or your family so that you can order your books today or get your books today also today we wear pink and honor of breast cancer awareness tomorrow is banked time does Miss so that means you're out at 18 play door 123 and parents and staff we have our relax and our School site Council meetings tomorrow and the 50th day of school is on the 26th. I can't remember I can't believe we've been in almost 50 days and then we have our family fun day which is a minimum day on Friday and we continue with our Saturday school and our parent Workshop parents we need you here and then the 30th is wear pink day again and on the 31st we all know what day that is that is Halloween for boys and girls we're going to have special treats on Halloween when you're at school so make you're here or you'll miss out also because November is right around the corner just want to give you heads up for that week on November 1st will have a fire drill November 2nd we'll have a drop drill and then on the 3rd we have perfect attendance I just want to tell you about a few other things really really quickly on the 10th there's no school because it's Patrick's Day and then the following week as parents and then after that we have our Thanksgiving break so just a quick clamps into November and these are our reminders we've gone over most of them but I'm really excited about guitar in the classroom but because over the parts are so big we might have to do guitars in the auditorium but will look into it for be by Thursday and parents please please please please come to town Workshop we have only three left and we designed them especially for you and we need your help and your support let's see what did I all the 50th day on the 26th we're going to dress and our 50th our attire make sure you look like back in the fifties I know most of you weren't born then but Amazon has some good things for the 50th error and family fun day begins at 1:30 we're out at a minute today again we discussed that and you tktk and Kinder will get out of 1228 1st through 5th grade will get out at 12:33 and then you'll come back to fund a weave what about all of these other things on here so that's bull ride along oh my goodness I can't believe how many girls came out and tried out for the dance club girls and boys I was so excited to see everyone with their moves so these are coaches and the first class is going to start on November 3rd and before you can begin a class do you have to get a sign for him prior to are your parents and the members of the dance team will announce well they don't know who the winners are but we do will announce the girls who made it through our tryout so look out for that list this week so today is crazy hair day so I see doctor patch and Miss White have their hair all looking crazy I think I better do mine now right let me see if I can just twist it up and make it look a little crazy crazy hair day and then tomorrow is wear red day for Red Ribbon Week and Wednesday is tie-dye day and Thursday again we going to wear those 50 a tire and then guess what on Friday you're going to get the scare drugs away and wear your costumes Alright good morning everyone buenos dias Ohio so we have our parent portal a support at amestoy each morning we have Miss Lopez and Miss Sanchez ready to help you there they are located in this body Williams from 7:30 to 8:30 in the morning I did send out a phone blast to each grade level on certain days so that you can come to the auditorium but whenever you are free please please please join us if you haven't set up your parents account but I was supposed to know Auntie needles to portal de Padre by Linda Somogyi Polo and I'll edit audio the city Mariachi maybe a La Senora de Lopez De La Senora Sanchez in Temecula authorial see nothing less. Every single person here knows that and they work everyday toward living up to that ideal all right boys and girls every Thursday is college gear day so I've seen a lot you CLA I've seen a lot of you is Steve Dominguez Hills t-shirt so just as a reminder every Thursday got a quite a bit to reset a Nabi no cell phone use on campus boys and girls we have to remind our students every single week as soon as when I use their cell phones while on campus cell phones must be put away in backpacks until school is over and just as a reminder in the event of an emergency we have all student contact information your parents or your emergency contact information everything we have all that and we will contact your pants and your guardian a master staff is not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones be safe be responsible be respectful we seen such a big Improvement in we are students are behaving in the restroom remember everyone on campus deserves to use a clean and stay restrooms are teachers are constantly reviewing these rules in the classroom so we also urge all of our parents review our restroom rules at home so that we can continue to have a safe and respectful use of the restroom there no other reasons other than for the students to go into the restroom to use the restroom or or to wash their hands once that's done boys and girls you walked out quietly and you go either back to your classroom or you go back to the playground area the bathroom is not a place to play thank you oh it's time for our drawing for boys and girls who are being safe responsible and respectful so when your name is called you will come to the office to and your recess to pick up your prize so for next week I'm going to have some good Halloween fries if so make sure you earn lots of Eagle slips this week so first if we have Benjamin room 13 congratulations on being safe responsible and respectful Dallas Room 11 congratulation chill some room 16 congratulations not sure about Skyler Blue Room 20 congratulations miso room 23 Massimo room 23 congratulation Frank room 29 congratulation a Jana L room 26 congratulations room 38 congratulations Christian room 23 congratulations I think this one is I'm not sure which from room nine but I will check with them but to see who it is what do ghosts remember to write your name out completely and neatly so that we know who you are so boys and girls congratulations on being safe being responsible and being respectful so hey if you're reading this I want you to know that I think that you are awesome with the girls you are awesome you do a outstanding job every day and we're very proud have you for trying to be the best version of you and always remember that excellent is doing better than you did the day before so boys and girls have an awesome day and remember we love love you and we want you here every day at school by now
