All it would have to be a giant if possible make a pizza over a mile long now yes I do I don't think that the people can eat it that big do you think it's possible to hold your breath for 11 minutes I don't think I could do it do you think possible to limbo under a bar that at only 8.5 in off the ground like a limbo no no this is Tiny Frozen now that you seen what is possible do you still think that your dreams are impossible things that are hard for me and this ain't I think I can do that I think I can do anything you could just keep trying I think that I can do everything now I feel like superwoman and you can get fabric any games do eagles we are here tell you that your dreams can come true you can do anything if you can dream it you can achieve it and don't be afraid to fail be afraid not to try so let's try to work all of our dreams because they can come true good morning everyone I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend I miss you guys New Year if I haven't seen you and told you that but let's get into our word for the day or work for the day is patience now boys and girls you can see we've learned a lot of words this year but this happens to be one of my once I'm patient is what we should all have so now I want you to look in the mirror and pick your own word and figure out what your own word should be for you I have patience or I am patient so patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay trouble or bring without getting angry or upset so that really means you have to kind of be calm and you have to be a thinker boys and girls and when your patients are not quick to react without thinking patience comes along with with wisdom so but what are you got the wiser you should become and the more you should exercise patience and it's just like any other muscle boys and girls you can't just do I want to be patient or I'm going to be patience you have to work on patients now we have a video about patience hi I'm Zack and I'm here to tell you all about the word of the day today's word is patience okay okay OK Google play we're going to play but not right this second or first I have to tell everyone about the word of the day I know I know I know that you want to play all right but you have to wait you have to wait in a calm way you have to show patience hold on a Elmo today's word is patient okay so you need to have patience to wait for me to finish before we can play yeah right okay here we go the word patience means to wait in a calm way now Elmo really wants to play basketball but he's waiting in a calm way so he's calling it man then you go all that patience paid off so now we can go play would you guys be not for me a few minutes I got to go get some are about to come back in the Middle where did it go have a great day everyone and a wonderful week hi I'm Zack okay on Thursday of last week we had our 4th and 5th grade spelling bee and we have three winners or third place winner was marmiton fourth grade 1:23 and 4 we like for the whole school to give her a big round the plaza 4th and 5th graders were there to do so and we have stopped and signed 5th grade 37 let's give him a huge round of applause and our first place winner was Selena fourth grade room 23 and she is going to represent us in the Local District south regional spelling bee on February 10th at 8:30 held at Gardena high school so anyone who would like to attend is welcome to attend so February 10th at 9 we'll have our region South spelling bee and hopefully what we going to get superpower to Selena so that she can represent us in the County Spelling Bee so go Selena here are more pictures from our spelling bee and we also over the weekend had some of our students and staff to participate in the Doctor Martin Luther King Junior parade thank you soon staff and parents were representing us at the parade some more pictures from the parade you more and Sunday are eagles had an opportunity to go where eagles where'd you go how to the Clippers and Doctor pets has on her hat and I heard that you guys had a awesome time and the Clippers even won the game here are more Clippers pictures it was a Korean Heritage night and the Clippers played the Brooklyn Nets have some more pictures to share regarding here's a video where they highlight us equals. If an employee goes up there they share with us her name was on the board so thank you too I miss Fontenot for planning that trip and thank you to all of our chaperones and I do have a little concerned though the tickets that we bought were tell me good things because we want our kids to have opportunity to really be able to watch the game and great seats however we had seven students who did not show up they turned in their field trip slip but they did not show so that was the over $1,000 that we lost because the students didn't come so students if you are going on a field trip if you return your field trip please make sure to attend because then we lose money when you don't come if another student could have had that opportunity to go so please please please when you turn your trip slips make sure that you intend on coming if you know somewhere down the line that you can't come please let us know so that we can have a replacement for you we don't want to lose any funny and we want all that have to have the opportunity to attend here's some more seats with some of our employees and students and even more pictures looks like everyone was smiling having an awesome time even more pictures even our spellers have the opportunity to go or winners and up next is the m j musical now we have over films going well over 100 tickets because we must have sap shop around and that's next Saturday so if you think and you turn the trip slip that you would not be able to go please let us know because we want to give I still have the opportunity to attend so are you guys ready for next Saturday to go see MJ the musical is everyone ready I'm super excited I hope you are and so these are everything that we had that we purchased out of our culture or a passport plan so we've already done but it's approved and completed for our passport the Clippers game on the 24th will have opportunity to go to another Clippers game on March 24th weed on The Nutcracker Lion King is on the 18th a February is on the 16th of March the Opera of the kids is on June 8th m j is this Saturday woo woo and the Carnival of the animals is on March 16th we ready for all of our Eagles to get on board and travel and have a awesome time with us and now we have other dates to remember so our after-school cultural art African drumming and dance practice has begun it's a 7-week program I had an opportunity to see some pictures that look like our boys and girls were really enjoying and having an awesome time with those drums we can't wait to see you perform and this week begins are I ready for ELA and we should also be doing our middle of the year dibels as well and next week we'll be doing our i-Ready math Matic I know that's a lot of Assessments but you guys are awesome and you can get it done because you're so awesome and on the 23rd we'll have our key lock in School site council meeting parents please make sure to come we'll be doing our needs assessment getting ready for Budget develop and in December 26th for all of those students who have perfect attendance for the month of December will be having our popcorn and movie party celebration again  day the musical on February 1st first we're going to have our money machine for those of you who qualified for your chocolate sale at 1:30 or magic show will be on February 2nd or a hundred day of school is on the 5th and I'm sure his gun violence was going to give information about that on the 9th we have our student of the month perfect attendance assemblies 10th against Salinas going to go represent us well at our regional spelling bee are book fair is the 12th through the 16th and J where he's at a tennis challenge is February 16th and then we're out of school on the 19th for Presidents Day just a few dates to remember here's our calendar and we've covered all of this through our dates to remember good morning everyone buenos dias a todos so we have our eyemaster website current if you can click on it you'll be able to review our Monday morning at sembly Flyers are going home or calendar all of the events that mystery just spoke about or in our website for priest login and check it a participatory Sinatra portal de la Escuela a mysterious item on the calendar Mac get under restart video. African landlord for you if you have not I logged into message upon portal account please let us know we're here to support you in for service Padres you know how long I'll be able to post about it, but I must tell you that I meant important A fitting on a stove put on upstairs accident information desk here we have some of our bsep students they discussed the famous March on Washington over a thousand men and women and children were all raised all ages and religious belief came together t v change Across the Nation they look like they have some deep thought going on there and discussion and this is our stepping in the right direction classes that are coming soon for Tuesday breakfast in the classroom boys girls we offer breakfast here at amestoy just a reminder make sure that if you're coming on campus to eat that you eat what we offer so that you can have a healthy and nutritious every morning is very important that you eat healthy breakfast as a tentacles Tacoma nicasa movie A all right good morning I'm so Eagles happy money I'm so proud of all of you that came to school today especially because it was a rainy day I know it's hard for me to get up and for my son to get up but I guess what I still came to work so I'm so proud all of you you came to school today on a rainy day and every single day with that said boys and girls please remember that it is important to come every day on rainy days on snowy days I'm just kidding it does it snow in California but come to school everyday right now I know a lot of you have been coming in to see Miss one and I to check in on your attendance so please feel free to do so during your Reese's and during your lunch time if you're not sure where your attendance is the right now we are approaching the 100th day of school so to get an idea if you've been absent anywhere between one to four times you are on the excellent if you've been absent anywhere between five to eight times roughly you are on the basic and if you've been absent right now more than 9 times that means you're a chronic so it means we have work to do so without set runs I'm just school police every single day if it's cold come in with extra layers of clothing on jackets scarves if it's hot or just dress appropriately cording to the weather but that is not a reason to please come to school everyday okay and then we are approaching the 100 day of school like I mentioned on February 5th I'll talk more about that on the next flight okay so we are still having our attending challenges we already had some costumes at did complete this last Tuesday in December last year so please boys and girls remember for every day that your classroom has 100% attendance you get one point did you reach 15 points please let Miss Gwen or myself know that way we can get your classroom a shout-out and then you and your teacher as a classroom can choose what to do as a reward once you reach 50 points okay so please come to school every single day my friends next flight please okay so here's a shout out for the classrooms I had 100 will not 100 but that had the most amount of students present in class last week so first shout-out I put two happy faces again from is cuz now that because of Dad she had the most amount of students present so 96% congratulations Miss willoughby's class first grade ladies that 92 I was first grade Miss buttons class Second Great 97% mysterious again a hundred percent so they should be reaching a lot of points for their attendance challenge these passports great 99% and Miss Lillard spot a hundred percent I noticed a lot of fifth grade classroom, they were in the 90s 93 94 95 so. But yes keep it up with a girl next slide please okay so here we go. So I'm like I mentioned February 5th is there a hundred day of school so that day will be extra spawn and it falls on a Monday so I didn't you can come dressed as gift book character or movie character Disney character whatever it is that you want please come to school dressed as that character so you can show everyone. That should be exciting and fun without the site not till we have our movie and popcorn as well that's going to be this Friday and that is for our students that had great attendance for the month of December and then February 16th will also have another attendance challenge for the month of January which I'll be sharing more information at the next Monday morning assembly OK Google all right so what university will you attend I don't even see that listed at 60. so we are going to be highlighting Caltech let's find a little bit of more about out there the California Institute of Technology located in Pasadena California it is it has approximately 987 undergraduate students and it is very classy boys and girls it's about $63,000 but after financial aid it's about 26,000 but as we always talk about polish hips are out there boys and girls you can reach out you can apply for scholarships and grants that means that it can help you to pay for the cost of attending college Caltech is a world-renowned science and in Marion Institute which was founded in 1891 so if you're interested in the Sciences chemical engineer mechanical engineer all of the Sciences Caltech is a very good University for that it's right top 10 universities in the world and the top seven in the United States of America is 321 student-to-teacher ratio it's an independently and privately supported Institute Caltech helps out with JPL for NASA so they're in constant contact and communication and they collaborate with NASA so if you're interested in that this is the right place for you 46 classic alumni and faculty have a total of 47 Nobel prizes do they have a very distinguished alumni and faculty Play Welcome to Caltech mechanical engineering student robotics team and I'm a junior double majoring in silence nearing an English I'm involved with flying with the Caltech Flying Club the president's diversity Council and next time I'll be studying abroad at the University of Cambridge and Rich history in Discovery in science technology math and Engineering put you may not know what it feels like day today to feed undergraduate karakalpaks really excited to share with you what makes our non-steam field anywhere from Humanity's house leadership to clubsport we're becoming well-rounded individual fireman and really encouraging us to not only become fat past experience but world-class problems so we'd like to invite you to continue exploring and discover what makes Caltech a premier Institution right there if you're interested in any of science has y'all take it the right place for you no cell phone use on campus boys and girls are doing so much better eyemaster Eagles and now bringing out your cell phones while you are on campus why I'm here at Alma's story cell phones must be put away in your backpacks until school is over and just as a reminder boys and girls we always say this because it's true we have your emergency contact we can contact your parents or Guardian in the event of an emergency so you don't have to worry about that and you are responsible for any lost or stolen cell phone be safe be responsible be respect boys and girls last week I was very sad because there were some students were flooding the toilet it takes a lot of money to make sure that we have a safe and clean bathroom with play paper and the floors being dry so we need your help we need your help so that we can have a safe rest room arrested where it is clean where boys and girls can go in and use the restroom flush the toilet wash their hands and come out the restrooms are not to be played in there is no reason why students should be playing in the restroom so if one of your friends tells you to do something that you know it's not write letters be strong enough to say no because this is your school this is your campus worst year for you so make sure that you helped us out we have some people out on supervision what are the restaurants do if there's any need for support you can always reach out to them that that's why we're here there here also to support you and help you out so make sure that you respect all the rules of the boys and girls every day that you're here on campus with you if you do this at home because I'm sure you don't your parents will be upset so just imagine that you're at home you're using the restroom right you make sure that your restroom is clean you make sure that you wash your hands you make sure that you don't play in the restroom at home so the same rules apply here on campus so follow them so that we can have a safe restroom usage for all of us okay Eagles and if you are safe responsible and respectful you will be receiving some blue ticket will using pull 10 names but I don't think we had many tickets in there this week so I'm going to call the names that I was giving and when your name is called you please come down to the main office during your recess to pick up your prize remember Eagles it's important to be safe to be responsible to be respect to have integrity to do the right thing even when no one is watching so we're stupid proud of these students for this week for being pulled for being safe responsible and to try to try to do the right thing to try to be your bed and always always remember that excellent is doing things better than you did the day before so I challenge each of you to do everything you did to do better today than you did yesterday or that you did laugh we thank you have an awesome day and a wonderful rest of the week by now
